MAZAG FEST

In collaboration with Jannah Rizk

We created this festival to promote contemporary arab artists in the west. Putting together this event stems from the need to correct for Arab misrepresentations in French society, the ever growing arab population in Paris and makes this a necessary task. The idea for this poster was to preserve a traditional aspect of arab culture while giving it a modern and trendy reinterpretation. We chose to use "Arouset el Mouled", a sugar doll that symbolizes festivities in the Middle-East, to be the face of the event, but with an edgy and modern aesthetic of the performing djs rappers and singers.
